One of the biggest problems you will encounter when restoring a Coach Built Pram is the condition of the chrome. The chassis, wheels handle bars and some fittings are all chromed and over time will begin to degrade. Sometimes rust will set in and make the chrome bubble and flake. This is not something you want, especially if you have spent many hours restoring everything else on your Coach Built Pram.
So lets look at what options you have to restore your chrome work.
1. You could simply buy some chrome paint called plasti kote. This will not give perfect results and should only be used on small hidden areas or if your on a tight budget.
2. Search for a local re-chrome specialist. I can only comment on the local ones i have used in the past, and they offer a quick friendly professional service that make your chrome bits and bobs look brand new. Prices will obviously vary on the sizes and work involved. Search for your local chrome specialist.
3. If your a Pram restorer and have a constant flow of work, i would strongly suggest you invest in a professional chrome machine. They are reasonably cheap and will save you a packet in the long run, as well as giving you outstanding professional results time after time.
Check the first letter of the baby name, against the surname to make sure it does not spell something undesirable. This is where me and my partner went wrong with our first son. His Initial is D and surname rain. This spells DRAIN.
